Abbey Lounge, Cambridge MA Giclée Art Print (Multi-size options)
NOTE: PLEASE ALLOW 2 WEEKS TO SHIP!
Cambridge, MA has a rich and storied history of neighborhood taverns... hell, the best ones were best described as "dives." When I transplanted myself to the Boston area in the 1990s, these bars were my refuge... places where I could meet down-to-earth people in a sometimes-uppity big city, as well as hear some really great local music to boot! The Abbey Lounge fit the bill, and there is a small but really active Facebook group that keeps its memory alive. I created this print based on photos donated by the group's admin, as a matter of fact! The current COVID climate makes me all misty for the days when you could pop up the street, grab a few cold (cheap) beers and shoot the shit with pretty much anyone around you, whether you knew them or not. It's these kind of memories that drives me to do these prints, something to hopefully propel you back in time a bit... back when the world seemed more free.
This is printed via Giclée, a high end archival printing process that layers inks in a similar fashion to screening. The colors POP and the image is very sharp!
Paper stock is Moab Entrada Rag Natural - a warm white, 100% cotton, slightly textured, smooth fine art surface. All available options are standard frame sizes found at your local craft store, frame shop or IKEA! (frame NOT included)
