The NYC underground music scene had a progenitor and well as a competitor to CBGB... Max's Kansas City. Home base to Andy Warhol and his cadre of minions and hanger-on, the club was the debauched place of legend. Only the Chosen Few were allowed into the fabled Back Room, and if THOSE walls could talk there would definitely be something worth hearing.

It was a restaurant. It was a rock club. It was a home for art, poetry, debate and other shenanigans. Owner Mickey Ruskin saw to it that the NYC art scene had a gathering spot, sometimes taking original artwork in exchange for food and booze. Perhaps not as high-profile as CBGB's Hilly Kristal, but no less important in helping foster one of the more creative zeitgeists in contemporary American culture, Mickey is featured here in this print art standing sentry over the playground he created.

Print size is 11" x 14", which looks awesome unmatted in a frame or in a standard 16" x 20" mat. This is printed via Giclée, a high end archival printing process that layers inks in a similar fashion to screening. The colors POP and the image is very sharp!

Paper stock is Moab Entrada Rag Natural - a warm white, 100% cotton, slightly textured, smooth fine art surface. Paper size: 11" x 14", which fits standard frames found at your local craft store, frame shop or IKEA! (frame NOT included)
