You know what used to be cool? Bethesda, Maryland, that's what. The home of WHFS in the heady days of the 70s and into the early 80s (found then at at 102.3 FM), it also had the bluegrass club the Red Fox Inn and yes, the legendary Psyche Delly!
All you had to do was to pop open your copy of The Unicorn Times to know that acts such as the Slickee Boys, Root Boy Slim or the Nighthawks would be gracing the stage at the Psyche Delly. Washington DC had (and still has) an embarrassment of musical talent, but what is now sorely missing are the touchstone venues where local and national acts could all co-mingle.
Bethesda went high-rent a long time ago, so the carefree days of head shops, diners and musical holes-in-the-wall are gone. You can relive those halcyon memories with this print for your wall though, right?
This is printed via Giclée, a high end archival printing process that layers inks in a similar fashion to screening. The colors POP and the image is very sharp!
Paper stock is Moab Entrada Rag Natural - a warm white, 100% cotton, slightly textured, smooth fine art surface. All available options are standard frame sizes found at your local craft store, frame shop or IKEA! (frame NOT included)
