The Whiskey Annapolis Giclée Art Print - 11" x 14"
PLEASE ALLOW 2 WEEKS TO SHIP!
Brand new design for 2020! Print size is 11" x 14", which looks awesome unmatted in a frame or in a standard 16" x 20" mat. This one is not silkscreened rather it is printed via Giclée, a high end archival printing process that layers inks in a similar fashion to screening. The colors POP and the image is very sharp!
My hometown of Annapolis... ahhh! Many of the downtown bars historically feature cover bands (not that there is anything wrong with that!) belting out the hits, but The Whiskey was THE place to go to hear live original tunes! Bands like Higher Hands, the Cheaters, Skribe, Clones of Funk, Sweet Leda and WAY more were to be found onstage at this venerable West Street club. The vibe was welcoming, the Natty Boh was on tap, and the music was always on point.
Many of my beloved rock clubs seemed to have become Starbucks shops (DC Space, the Cellar Door, etc.). The fate of the Whiskey, however, was to be torn down to make way for a Taco Bell (to be fair, it's a pretty nice Taco Bell, but it still stings). The moral of this quip is that we have to love and cherish our music venues, large and small, while we have them... they can be gone in the blink of an eye. I remain optimistic about the fate of our clubs once the COVID crisis has passed, but this is uncertain territory at best. In the meantime, you CAN hang this print on your wall and harken back to the days of hanging out on the second floor deck of the Whiskey, sipping your draft, puffing your cig (if that was your thing), and grooving to the music emanating from inside.
Paper stock is Moab Entrada Rag Natural - a warm white, 100% cotton, slightly textured, smooth fine art surface. Paper size: 11" x 14", which fits standard frames found at your local craft store, frame shop or IKEA! (frame NOT included)
