The 90s was the era of the indie coffee shop and there was none better than the Beehive on Carson Street. Local edgy art, mean lattes and atmosphere galore... it makes me miss my Doc Martens and oversized thrift-store sweaters just thinking about it! Sure, I loved all the locations... the movie theater one in Oakland was where I first saw (appropriately enough) "Reality Bites." Doesn't get more 90s than THAT, does it? While this place may be just a memory anymore, you CAN still hang it on your wall and imagine the smell of expresso brewing...
