Club Hell, Washington DC

Hovering right above those basement steps, a scrawny little Grim Reaper holds up a "Welcome To Hell" banner—a hilariously dark welcoming committee for one of Adams Morgan’s most notorious lost haunts. Anyone who used to hit 18th Street back in the day knows that sign, but standing here looking at it now, there's a heavy dose of nostalgia in the air since both the sign and Club Hell are long gone. The entrance feels frozen in that gritty late-night window right before the crowds descend. It’s a classic liminal snapshot—capturing a missing piece of DC nightlife history suspended forever between trashy cult charm and pure, ghost-town silence.

Each photograph is printed with an integrated white border and includes the Steve Shook artist mark in the lower-right border. The listed dimensions refer to the full paper size, including the border. 8"x10" photo prints have a 0.5" white border and the 11"x14" version has a 1" white border.
